Phone a Counselor
The fastest way to get help is to call 1-800-668-6868.
Kids Help Phone’s telephone counselling is:

- confidential
- available from anywhere in Canada
- toll-free
- immediate (open 24/7)
- staffed by professional counselors
This service was developed for you! Some kids worry that their problem isn’t serious enough or they aren’t sure what to say when they call. Our professional counsellors understand how difficult it can be to talk about something that is bothering you. We understand the things that are bugging you. And we are available day or night.
The Kids Help Phone website for kids also has stories from other kids, lets you post your own, and has a ton of information on stuff every kid has to face – school, dating, family life, friends, bullying and more. Definitely worth a visit.
What does it mean to be there?
It means providing the immediate support that young people need and deserve – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Every day, Kids Help Phone counsellors answer calls and online questions from across Canada. No matter what the problem or concern, our counsellors are there to provide immediate and caring support, information and, if necessary, referral to a local community or social service agency.
In 2010, Kids Help Phone estimates it had 225,622 counselling contacts with youth throughout Canada. There were more than 1 million indirect counselling contacts which came through our kids’ website.
There are 18 volunteer Kids Help Phone Chapters in Ontario. Founded in January 2004, the Niagara Chapter committee members have a lot of fun while working hard to raise funds and awareness for Kids Help Phone. If you would like to join this amazing team of volunteers, please contact us at 1-800-268-3062 ext. 8609 or via e-mail.
Kids Help Phone receives no ongoing government or United Way funding. We rely entirely on funds generated through individual donors, our Corporate Partner Program, and Clubs, Associations and Foundations.
